Almandal Grimoire: The Book as Magical Object

Almandal Grimoire: The Book as Magical Object is a room-sized accordion book illuminated with egg tempera, inks, and gold leaf, inscribed with text from my essay on books as objects throughout history and current theory on the materiality and virtuality of books. Each of its ten pages is 8 feet by 4 feet. It is almost finished and is looking for a home, preferably in a museum, library, or book arts institution.Photographs by the Wonderful Rebecca Mack.
